    Apology in Rhyme

    It was a stupid mistake
    No one is to blame
    I just wish you could see that
    Let go of your shame

    Let me tell you I'm sorry
    Once over again
    I feel terribly awful
    I don't know where to begin

    I can't believe what I've done
    I brought the pain back to you
    I know it's there, so don't lie
    You just don't let it show through

    My heart's breaking inside
    The tears will not dry
    I just cannot help it
    Your hurt words make me cry

    I wish I could fix you
    Be there by your side
    I'd be quiet and listen
    While you would confide

    I know things won't be the same
    But I hope they will be in time
    For now this is all I can do..
